About the Role
Knowit Gävleborg AB annually awards a scholarship of a maximum of SEK 34,100 to students at the University of Gävle. The purpose of the scholarship is to reward and stimulate resourceful individuals to further develop their ideas. Knowit aims to promote innovative thinking to enable the development of something original and fundamentally new of importance within a business or field. The scholarship is a reward for good academic performance, where special consideration must be given to an innovative thesis—within any subject area. The scholarship can be shared among several theses. If several students have jointly carried out a thesis, the scholarship may be shared between them. The scholarship application is evaluated in two steps. In the first step, a review is carried out based on academic merits. In the second step, a review is conducted based on innovative qualities. This review is done by donors and takes into account four different dimensions: Innovative height - degree of novelty, Strategic height - degree of forward-looking direction, Realistic height - degree of feasibility, Value-creating height - degree of economic, cultural, social, and qualitative value. These four perspectives are graded during ranking on a scale of 1-5. The scale is interpreted as follows: Very low height, Low height, Some height, High height, Very high height. The application must include: - An approved thesis at the bachelor's level or higher. The thesis must not be older than 18 months calculated from the application deadline. - A Ladok transcript showing grades for completed courses and the thesis.
