BI Administrator (IT@JH Univ Data Analytics & Engineering)

IT@JH Univ Data Analytics & Engineering is seeking a BI Administrator who will provide hands-on technical leadership for the administration, operational reliability, and governance support of Johns Hopkins’ enterprise BI platforms, including Tableau Cloud, Power BI, and emerging Microsoft Fabric. The position is responsible for day-to-day platform operations such as configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, gateway and bridge coordination, Tier 2/3 support, and vendor escalation, while also partnering closely with M365, security, infrastructure, and governance stakeholders to implement standards for access, compliance, documentation, and audit/logging readiness. The role operates within a matrixed administrative model, working in close collaboration with partner BI administrators across other institutional areas to promote aligned practices, coordinated decision-making, and consistent platform support for a broad and diverse customer base. In addition, the role develops technical guidance and user-facing communications, supports licensing and cost recovery activities, and helps ensure these BI services remain secure, stable, scalable, and well governed for the institution.
