Data Engineer - CL

The Data Engineer exists to transform raw data into reliable business data assets. Rather than just solving a problem, they must take on the challenge of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable pipelines that make data available in a timely, clean, secure, and structured manner so it can be used by analysts, product teams, business teams, and data science. Key Responsibilities: Role focus: Redesign, develop, and optimize data pipelines for ingesting and processing data from our Travel Partners. The first mission is to build and implement observability and quality monitoring in partner data ingestion processes. The second is to ensure optimal data flow design to minimize run costs and ensure clear ownership along with single, unambiguous sources of truth. This is expected to reduce operational burden, empower business teams, and enable value for product teams building on top of this data. Responsibilities: Build Quality Pipelines: Develop automated data auditing scripts and processes in BigQuery that certify data completeness, coherence, and consistency, alerting promptly when necessary. Design and Ingestion Pipeline Optimization: Design and improve pipelines that extract raw data from various partner entry points (API, SFTP, etc.) or orchestration platforms.
