PHP Symfony Developer (Expert)

Tasks and responsibilities: For an IT management department, an experienced PHP Symfony developer is sought to strengthen an internal development team over the long term. You will contribute to the construction and maintenance of internal applications developed within the PHP Symfony framework. In this role, you will handle both development and technical follow-up. You will be responsible for coding, testing, and debugging applications, writing unit and browser tests, and helping maintain deployment and release pipelines. In addition, you will prepare functional and technical analyses and help ensure a smooth transition to production within a DevOps environment. You are also expected to take on a leading role within an Agile development approach. You will mentor developers within the team and have experience leading a development team. Your profile: Demonstrable experience with PHP and Symfony in a professional development context. Experience with Docker, Jenkins, and deploying applications to production within a DevOps environment. Strong knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL. Ability to independently produce functional and technical analyses. Proficiency in programming tasks, from coding to testing and debugging. Experience with Agile development methodologies and ability to take on a leading role therein. Prior experience mentoring a development team and coaching colleagues. Experience within a university context is a plus. Language requirement: Dutch at a European level.
