Freelance Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer

Tasks and Responsibilities For the further development and professionalization of a modern cloud-based data platform, we are looking for an experienced data engineer to design, build, and manage scalable and reliable data solutions. You will work on a data platform featuring a modern data architecture centered around Microsoft Fabric, alongside Power BI, Python, and large-scale data pipelines. You will translate reporting and data needs into high-performing data models, efficient pipelines, and reusable data assets so that end users can rely on consistent and actionable insights. In addition, you will provide substantive input regarding architecture, data governance, data quality, maintainability, and scalability. You will regularly coordinate with analysts, reporting specialists, architects, end users, and other stakeholders. You will design, build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines within a modern cloud data environment. You will implement data integrations from diverse source systems, such as relational databases, APIs, files, and applications. You will develop and manage lakehouse, warehouse, and medallion architectures with a focus on reusability, performance, and data quality. You will translate reporting and analysis requirements into clear data models and reliable datasets. You will design and implement ETL processes for processing data streams at scale. You will support reporting and analytics environments with high-quality and consistent data.
