Scientific Infrastructure Engineer III

The Emerald Cloud Lab oratory (ECL) enables life scientists to move out of the lab, and to conduct research entirely from a computer. Stepping away from manual completion of experiments at the bench, scientists on the ECL leverage the remote, automated execution of all standard biology and chemistry experiments in Emerald’s industrial lab facilities, working within a software platform for all stages of research workflows, from experimental design to data analysis. Our system empowers scientists at Big Pharma companies, startups, and academic laboratories by allowing them to run wet lab experiments from anywhere in the world without ever stepping foot into the lab. The Scientist at ECL exemplifies the ideal of the "Engineering-driven Scientist." Every scientist at Emerald learns to code, working in the Wolfram Language, and the eclectic team comes together to tackle the singular challenges at the intersection of understanding experimental detail, architecting the logistics for a new model of industrial lab facility, integrating new instrumentation, and building the software system that captures it all. The Scientific Infrastructure team implements and maintains software that supports all experimental operations at Emerald Cloud Lab . The team engineers systems that direct, track, and support laboratory experiments. Responsibilities include Architecting and developing new software solutions to increase the speed or reliability of the laboratory operations team Maintaining advan
