As a Small Business Underwriter, you’ll make a meaningful impact by using your expertise to make thoughtful risk decisions, grow a profitable portfolio, and build trusted relationships with agency partners. You’ll work closely with sales and business teams to uncover new opportunities, provide exceptional service, and help both our agency partners and EMC succeed. Essential Functions : Manage and grow a profitable portfolio of new and renewal small business within assigned authority and territory. Select and price risks in alignment with EMC’s Small Business Underwriting Strategy. Evaluate coverage forms, classifications, rating plans, and underwriting guidelines to make sound, data-driven decisions. Prioritize workload to balance underwriting quality, efficiency, and responsiveness. Meet service-level commitments while supporting agency and business needs.
