Substation Engineer

Overview We are designing the grid of the future! We are looking to hire an Electrical Engineer for our Engineering line of business, working on detailed substation design projects. EPE is seeking an experienced Engineer for detailed design engineering on utility-scale and distributed energy projects across our growing portfolio, including solar PV, BESS, wind, hybrid power, microgrids, and EV/data center infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of electrical systems Responsibilities How you can make an impact: Experience with different aspects of detailed electrical design related to generation, transmission, and distribution, including substations for solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems, their integration into the electrical grid, underground distribution systems, industrial electrical plant applications, and communications technologies. Experience with substation and collection system design reviews Experience with the EPC RFP process and equipment specifications Outlining the initial design concepts for substations and overseeing the review or creation of detailed designs, which cover layouts, elevations, single-line diagrams, ground grid design, lightning protection, both DC and AC control schematics, wiring connections, cable schedules, and the organization of raceways, such as cable trays, duct banks, and trenches, alongsid
