The Role We’re looking for an experienced Estimator who enjoys understanding how work gets built and turning that knowledge into accurate, competitive estimates. This remote, part-time opportunity offers flexibility while keeping you connected to an experienced operations team. Candidates based in Southern Ontario are encouraged to apply. Employment through a staffing agency is the preferred arrangement. You’ll prepare estimates for assigned projects involving roads, underground infrastructure, earthworks, aggregates, trucking and surface mining services. Your responsibilities will include: Reviewing drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports and tender requirements. Preparing quantity takeoffs and detailed labour, equipment, material and subcontractor estimates. Obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations. Working with operations to establish practical construction methods, production rates and schedules. Identifying scope gaps, risks, assumptions and opportunities to improve competitiveness.
