The other half — the half that matters more — is building the template and preset system that lets the team publish 5x what one editor could cut by hand. What you'll do Cut hero content: the concepts the manager is betting on, edited to a standard that competes with full-time creators Build and maintain the template library — hook openers, caption styles, transition packs, platform presets — so the creator can self-serve variants without you touching every file Own the pacing, cuts, sound design, captions, and motion that turn raw footage into retention Version every hero concept into platform-native cuts: aspect ratio, hook rewrite, length, caption style per platform Automate what can be automated — batch captioning, auto-reframe, preset-driven exports Maintain asset organization, file naming, and archive so nothing gets remade twice Feed the manager honest data on what's actually taking time, so briefs stay realistic Required qualifications 4+ years editing short-form video with proven viral
