You can focus on the areas that match your professional strengths and interests: Primary coding: You code hospital cases independently, completely, and traceably, ensuring that treatment courses, diagnoses, and procedures are correctly mapped. Audit: You analyze previously processed cases with an auditing eye, critically questioning documentation and coding decisions while identifying anomalies, revenue potentials, and coding-relevant aspects. Or both: If you want to position yourself broadly, you can also work flexibly in both primary coding and auditing, taking on different tasks depending on client projects.
