Systems Engineer I

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide technical requirements and engineering standards for enhancements, new projects, and initiatives. In addition, the position will include being part of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) engineers. This position will require strong technical ability to understand the steel/structural design of metal building systems. This role is very critical for the Engineering department as they will impact productivity, efficiency, lead times, cost, and ultimately customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement technical solutions within the Mueller Design System (MBS) to expand current capabilities and introduce new features. Analyze engineering workflows to identify automation opportunities, improve user experience, and increase software efficiency. Collaborate with subject matter experts to convert engineering requirements into practical software functionalities. Participate in cross-functional project teams to integrate software solutions with other enterprise systems and tools. Act as a liaison between end-users and developers to communicate system needs, challenges, and improvements. Coordinate with various departments, including Technical Services, IT, Design, Drafting, and Manufacturing, to ensure system alignment with business and engineering needs.
