Product Development Specialist - Conveyor Belt Textiles ( Part-Time Contract)

As a technical subject matter expert, you will work cross-functionally with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Management, Technical Service, and Commercial teams to: Develop and optimize conveyor belt products from initial concept through prototype, testing, manufacturing trials, field validation, and commercialization. Advance trough and pipe belt performance by optimizing textile reinforcement, carcass construction, strength, flexibility, load support, fatigue resistance, adhesion, tracking, dimensional stability, and splice performance. Develop agricultural and engineered solutions by translating customer and application requirements into technically sound product designs and specifications. Improve existing belt constructions to enhance durability, reliability, service life, field performance, and overall competitiveness. Evaluate textile materials and constructions, including alternative fabrics, reinforcement technologies, and suppliers, to improve product performance, supply security, manufacturability, and cost. Develop testing and qualification plans for new materials, constructions, and product improvements, including laboratory testing, production trials, and field validation. Support manufacturing and industrialization to ensure new or modified products can be produced safely, consistently, and economically.
