Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) – 1099 Consultant Location: Mostly Remote (Some CONUS & OCONUS Travel May Be Required) Engagement Type: 1099 Independent Consultant — Project-Based / As Needed Security Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance Required Position Overview Conceras is seeking an experienced Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) to provide project-based consulting support for telecommunications infrastructure initiatives supporting U.S. Government facilities, including potential overseas diplomatic missions. This is a 1099 independent consultant opportunity , with work assigned on a project-by-project and as-needed basis. The ideal consultant will bring a combination of telecommunications design expertise, field experience, and technical documentation capabilities and will be comfortable supporting both engineering/design efforts and field activities as project requirements dictate. Travel within the continental United States (CONUS) and internationally (OCONUS) may be required depending on project needs. Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering Develop telecommunications cabling system designs, including structured cabling systems (STCS) for copper, coaxial, and fiber-optic infrastructure. Produce design documentation, CAD drawings, diagrams, and floor plans for telecommunications systems. Prepare test plans, certified test reports, and installation documentation.
