This candidate will create and convert existing documents into versions that are Section 508 Accessibility compliant. Responsibilities: •Performs Section 508 compliance tests on web products and content (e.g. PDFs). •Works collaboratively with leads, developers, and project managers. •Attains DHS accessibility training including DHS Trusted Tester accreditation to ensure websites and products are tested and validated as accessibility compliant according to Section 508. •Ensures websites and documents are compliant with DHS mandates, policies, and guidelines such as adhering to Section 508 Accessibility laws, IT regulations, complying with standard operating procedures and program processes as determined by leadership, etc. •Maintains DHS required 508 certifications such as trusted tester. •Brings a collaborative, team-centric attitude and enthusiasm that encourages outreach and partnership.
