Senior Engineer, Development - SAP

Builders FirstSource (BFS) is executing Project Elevate, a multi-year business transformation that is standardizing core operations on SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition and connected enterprise applications. The Senior Engineer, SAP Application Development, is a hands-on technical resource responsible for the quality, maintainability, security, and delivery of Project Elevate custom development. This role partners with business analysts, functional leads, architects, security, Basis, testing teams, and systems-integration partners to translate business requirements into clean-core, scalable solutions across SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as a BFS technical owner for Project Elevate application development, providing hands-on engineering leadership from requirements and solution design through build, test, deployment, stabilization, and transition to support. Review functional specifications and translate approved requirements into complete technical designs, estimates, development tasks, unit-test plans, deployment dependencies, and support documentation. Design, develop, enhance, and troubleshoot RICEFW objects, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, Fiori applications, CDS views, OData services, APIs, and related SAP extensions.
