About the Role
Company Overview Founded in April 2021 by graduates of MIT and Stanford Graduate School, we are a legal tech company. Backed by high trust in our product from day one, we have scaled rapidly over the past four years without external fundraising, primarily expanding our customer base through word-of-mouth and referrals. Today, our product is adopted by hundreds of top-tier clients, including Japan's Big Five law firms, LINE Yahoo, and Mercari. We have also expanded internationally to markets such as the US and South Korea. BoostDraft currently has around 50 employees and is at a critical turning point to accelerate global expansion, starting with APAC, built on a strong domestic business foundation. In this role, you will act as the COO's right-hand person, overseeing business operations from a company-wide perspective to optimize resources and drive non-linear growth. Going beyond tactical operations, you will serve as a core pillar of business growth by defining "where and how to win" with pure business strategy and leading its execution. In the mid-to-long term, as Japan Business Head, you are expected to oversee business departments such as sales, marketing, and customer success, leading the organization as the top leader of business growth in the Japanese market. Expected Responsibilities: Identifying management challenges and executing solutions; identifying and structuring fundamental bottlenecks hindering business growth; reviewing cross-functional business processes across departments (Sales, Customer Success, etc.) and formulating improvement plans; translating strategies into execution plans on the ground and driving multi-departmental projects to completion; formulating growth strategies for the Japanese business and planning new initiatives; identifying and validating the most effective revenue-expanding levers for existing businesses using data analysis; evaluating business models for new products/features through market research and customer interviews; coordinating with overseas offices and supporting global expansion; collaborating and mentoring BizOps personnel in South Korea and North America; establishing APAC expansion strategies by synthesizing market trends and success stories across countries; building relationships with key clients and partners; making direct strategic proposals and conducting high-level negotiations with enterprise decision-makers; participating in strategic partnerships and alliance negotiations for business expansion; establishing data analysis frameworks to support executive decision-making; integrating business data scattered across departments and visualizing KPIs; establishing and operating monitoring frameworks for leadership to make rapid, accurate decisions. (Note: The above are expected responsibilities.) Perks of BoostDraft: A rare startup environment that has scaled without external fundraising for about four years; a challenging environment surrounded by top-tier talent (alumni of Microsoft, NTT, BCG, etc.); an international team environment (about half of the employees are foreign nationals); managers and team members with young children are thriving. Requirements Required Experience/Skills: Business-level English and native-level Japanese proficiency, plus at least one of the following: Practical experience in a strategy consulting firm or general consulting firm (e.g., Manager or project lead experience); Practical experience in business development, corporate planning, or BizOps at a startup (dozens to a hundred employees). Preferred Experience/Skills: Knowledge of business growth in the B2B software domain; Experience collaborating with and managing global teams or multinational members.
