Senior Go Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Go Engineer 🗣 Language Proficiency: Upper-Intermediate 🧾 Employment type: Full time 🌍 Candidate Location: Poland, other EU countries, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Armenia, Georgia 🕐 Working Time Zone: CET 🚀 Start: ASAP 🧭 Planned Work Duration: 3 months this year + 3 months next year 👥 Customer Description: A global mobility and urban services platform enabling users to book rides and other services while negotiating fares directly with service providers. ⚙️ Project Phase: ongoing 🤝 Soft Skills: • Ability to explain project architecture and the business problems addressed in depth. • Ability to independently clarify ambiguous requirements, define metrics, address concurrency and edge cases, and articulate technical trade-offs. 💡 Hard Skills / Must Have: • 5+ years of production backend engineering experience and complex product development. • Strong Go expertise: concurrency, synchronization, context propagation, goroutine lifecycle management, and graceful shutdown. • Experience with high-load distributed systems and microservice architecture. • Strong SQL and data modelling: schema design, joins, indexes, query analysis, replication, partitioning, and sharding. • Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and Redis caching strategies. • Sync/async inter-service communication using gRPC and message brokers, including delivery guarantees and idempotency. • Observability: metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, and Go profiling. • Understanding of NFRs, SLA/SL
