What You’ll Do As a Self-Pay Collection/ Insurance Verification Specialist, you’ll be on the front line of the revenue cycle — confirming coverage, preventing denials, and setting patients up for a smooth billing experience. Your Core Responsibilities: Patient Collections: Proactively contact patients for self-pay balances. Negotiate payment arrangements. Follow up on unpaid accounts. Prepare third party collections list monthly. Patient Communication: Provide exceptional customer service. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding their accounts and balances. Explain billing statements, payment options, and financial assistance programs to patients in a clear and empathetic manner. Educate patients on account balances, co-pays, deductibles, and financial responsibilities. Payment Posting and Documentation: Accurately apply payments received from patients to the appropriate accounts. Maintain detailed notes about collection efforts, pay
