Senior Software Engineer - Remote

Partner with the best Akamai's growing, agile Compute Platform Team to build a scalable control plane for large-scale fleet automation in a high-impact environment that rewards innovation and technical excellence. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for: Designing, building, and scaling a Fleet Operations Platform to maintain thousands of compute machines and millions of customer workloads. Providing technical expertise and leadership for your team. Working on the software running on the hosts in our data centers. Improving internal processes and systems on a consistent basis. Developing thorough and largely automated test suites for functional and regression testing to ensure fault tolerance and error handling. Troubleshooting upgrade failures, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and resolve edge cases across the hypervisor and Linux host stack.
