Transmission and Distribution Civil Engineer - Remote (U.S.)

AECOM is hiring for a Transmission Engineer with a primary focus on Transmission and Distribution projects to support our growing Energy Business Line. Our team provides a wide range of civil and structural engineering services across markets sectors including electrical transmission and distribution, renewables and substations. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to develop within and further the technical skills we bring to our new and existing client base. Qualified candidates will have a familiarity with civil and structural design aspects for transmission and distribution. This can be remote or hybrid position based in but not limited to: Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; Columbia, SC; Atlanta, GA; Richmond, VA; Nashville, TN; Chattanooga, TN; Orlando, FL; Louisville, KY The job responsibilities of this role will include, but may not be limited to: Perform engineering analysis and design for overhead transmission lines, including structure loading, conductor sag/tension, foundations, and line routing Prepare construction packages including plan & profile drawings, structure selection, material specifications, and engineering calculations Utilize industry‑standard software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, and related tools Support project lifecycle activities including scope development, cost estimating, scheduling, and field support Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and guidelines (NESC, ASCE, company standards) Coordinate with interna
