Fullstack Developer with PHP Backend – Symfony, RabbitMQ (m/f/d)

Who we are: Rockstardevelopers, founded in 2015 in Mannheim, with additional offices in Stuttgart and Munich. We are a software developer with experience from hundreds of custom projects for enterprise and mid-market clients. Short communication channels, honest feedback, no political games. No hierarchy levels between you and the people who make decisions. Your tasks: You will work on client projects at large companies, embedded in their teams. Your focus is the backend: interfaces, data flows between systems, and the underlying logic. You will also lend a hand in the frontend when a feature requires it. Backend development with PHP, preferably Symfony. Design REST APIs and document them with OpenAPI. Connect systems via messaging: RabbitMQ, Symfony Messenger, or Kafka. Build and maintain GitLab pipelines, from build to deployment. Generate, review, and refactor code using Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor. Coordinate with Product Owners, Frontend, and Operations. Assignments are predominantly remote. You will be on-site at the client for individual days, for example in Berlin two to three days a month. If you like, you can additionally come to one of our offices. This is completely optional. Where you will land: Depending on the project, at large corporations, in the public sector, or with enterprise and mid-market clients from various industries. Our clients staff these projects almost exclusively with permanent employees. Therefore, we are looking for you on a permanent basis.
